Title Interior Designer**
Description

Under the supervision of the Head of Aviation Interiors, participate in international airport competitions and projects; execute design concepts and follow through with appropriate design solutions for airport terminals, airline clubs, and airline headquarters facilities; work on space planning to program a large scale facility based on an analysis of client space needs; conduct finish selection for effective use of color schemes, specifications and branding for airport environment; design and prepare environmental graphic design and visualization for signage layouts to assist airport wayfinding design; understand and incorporate International Building Code (IBC), ADA, TAS, IATA and FAA reports for aviation interior projects; prepare construction documentation including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details and specifications; develop life safety and egress plans per code compliance; understand and incorporate airline and airport client branding and interior standards; research alternative design solutions for client budget constraints; develop concept images and photos to communicate ideas; develop sequence and strategy of presentations, prepare 2D/3D conceptual renderings and sketches utilizing hand sketches, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, Revit/AutoCad models/renderings; review drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors for content and accuracy; assist with implementation of approved design approach prior to final approval of project manager and/or client; assist with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) schedules and purchase orders, including developing and detailing appropriate furniture standards and finish selection for effective use of color schemes and specifications; coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), structural and other engineers and architects to incorporate engineering systems into design; conduct field verification efforts of existing conditions; review and respond Request for Information (RFIs) and change orders from contractor; conduct site evaluations, surveys and post-occupancy analysis; assist in all phases of aviation planning, including airside and landside elements including security checkpoints, hold room, CBP, airline support spaces, concessions and restrooms; develop programming for large scale projects (over 100,000 square feet), as well as phasing for airport terminal design and construction; assist in coordination with multiple user groups and departments including airport authorities, airline and federal officials; coordinate furniture selection, estimate and installation with furniture representatives; research finishes, furniture, fixtures and materials for suitability and sustainability.

Job Requirements:
