Join the frontlines of the Resistance with Sierra Club. Be part of a fast-paced team ready for rapid response to anything the Trump administration can throw at us.

The Sierra Club is seeking applicants with strong campaign, organizing, and digital experience who will create and execute strategy for our work in Congress and federal agencies like the EPA, and Department of Interior, to stand up for clean air, water, the climate, and public lands. Using state-of-the-art tools, you will play a key role organizing, developing, and coordinating online email outreach, web-based advocacy, mobile outreach, and online-to-offline integration of our members and supporters into key campaigns around the country. Strong social media skills also a must.

Candidates should have big ideas, great time-management skills, be detail-oriented, and interest in testing and innovation. Sharp writing skills and interpersonal skills are a must, as this organizer will work with colleagues throughout the Sierra Club as well as coalition partners to help us fold our work into the broader Resistance movement. This position is located in Washington D.C.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience in online organizing or campaigning.
  • Strong background in advocacy or political campaign organizing.
  • Proficient computer skills and prior experience or aptitude with internet applications including email, constituent relationship management or other related data systems, social networking systems and web applications.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills. Demonstrated skills in writing and production of online campaign materials. Good verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in an action-oriented office.
  • Ability to work independently, cooperatively and effectively with public, staff and volunteers.
