JOB SUMMARY:


To promote, increase and diversify student participation in global engagement opportunities through collaboration with college academic advising units, College of Business Student Enrichment, and Clemson Abroad. Performs other duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:


50% - Essential - Student advising and recruitment for global engagement programs and initiatives: Inform and counsel students on opportunities available to acquire a global education. Develop and maintain up to date electronic source of information on global engagement and resources adapted to College of Business students. Establish student advising protocols to increase an diversify participation in study abroad. Support faculty directors in recruiting students for global engagement initiatives. Collaborate with the Clemson Abroad office and other campus partners to increase student awareness of services that support their global learning needs.

40% - Essential - Administrative, clerical support and customer service: Provide general office support. Provide clerical support for program assessment including maintaining databases, tracking student mobility, etc. Schedule and coordinate meetings, assist with the preparation for, organization of, and participation in special events such as study abroad fairs, etc.. Guide students on completion of applications for study abroad, organize and review application materials, including visaapplications, if necessary.

10% - Essential - Student Enrichment: Oversee enrollment and assess learning in the Rosetta Stone program. Oversee application and allocation of College of Business Travel Aid.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor's Degree

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as Lead - Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

5% - Overnight Travel


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:


Three years experience with a bachelor's degree, or one year experience with a master's degree preferred. Study abroad participation or living outside of the U.S.A., and foreign language study desired.


WORK SCHEDULE:


Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 04 ($ 35,000 - $ 39,000)
